Kanwarias step on 'meat' in city

Over 30 'kanwarias,' devotees of Shiva who go on annual pilgrimage to sacred places like Haridwar on foot, created a ruckus in Ramganj market on Monday after one them allegedly stepped on some left over pieces of meat outside a non-vegetarian eatery. According to police, the kanwarias were coming from Galta Ghat area and had entered Ramganj market on Monday morning. One of them allegedly stepped on a piece of meat and started shouting slogans and blocked the road near Ladli Ji Ka Chauraha.
